Welcome to our Black Girls Pole Retreats FAQ Page. Please read over everything if you are looking to sign up for a future retreat! This should answer most of your BGP retreat questions. If not, please reach out to us directly with any additional questions at info@blackgirlspole.com.

Background on Black Girls Pole:
Black Girls Pole is an organization striving to diversify the pole community by inspiring, empowering, and educating women of color about pole dancing. BGP is a movement to both celebrate and introduce new faces to the transformative power of pole. We aim to provide a platform for women of color to embrace their bodies, challenge themselves, mind and spirit and express their own unique individuality.

Do I need a passport?

Yes! Many of our retreats are international that require passports to enter into the country. For your safety, we ask that your passport does not expire within 3 months of the 1st day of any retreat date.

Do I have to have pole experience?

Depending on your chosen Black Girls Pole retreat! We have a beginners retreat every year that is open to absolute beginners- advanced beginners! For other retreats, they are generally open level unless stated that it is an advanced retreat. For open level retreats, we require that you feel comfortable with one arm spins and inverting from the ground.

How far in advance are retreats announced?

We like to announce retreats 6-12 months in advance to give you time to prepare, purchase plane tickets etc.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes! We require a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit and then you have the option to create a payment plan with us.

Can I room alone or bring a guest?

Absolutely. We give the option for accommodations to have a solo room and even have options for guests to attend excursions.

What if I don't know anyone?

That is the beauty of our retreats! We create a safe and fun environment where everyone is uplifting and family! You may come alone, but you will leave with several new pole sisters and brothers!

What if I paid but can’t come?

It depends on the date you cancel. Please be sure to look over our Terms & Conditions page for more details.

Can I transfer to a different retreat?

Yes. You can. However, there will be a $400 transfer fee. This cost will cover transferring your hotel booking, excursions, studio spot, and any other bookings.

Do yo offer refunds/Credits if we cannot make the retreat?

There are no refunds for payments made for retreats. Please be sure to look over our Terms & Conditions page for more details.
