1. Show up as you!

Stop worrying about if everything looks perfect or who may feel a certain way about what your creating and just create! If we worried about what others would say about Black Girls Pole - we legit would not be here today. It's time to start showing up - exactly where you're at - because friend, there are a whole lot of people wayyyy less talented than you soaking up all attention. Do you think they're worried about how they may be perceived? Not enough to keep them from posting! Let's get real and just do it!

2. Get creative!

As the saying goes “be yourself, everyone else is taken”- so let that inner creativity shine through! Share photos or videos that showcase how you see life and give followers a unique glimpse into your world. This can be ANYTHING! We promise, the things that you find boring in your day to day could probably make great content. Even if it's as simple as a Get Ready With Me video - trust it's enough.

3. Be honest!

We all have had off days and it's totally ok to let your followers in on this. It may sound strange, but vulnerability can be a major key! You'll find that when you start being honest about your struggles or even successes, people will relate to & engage with what you're creating. Remember - they can’t relate to perfection!

4. Have fun!

Taking yourself too seriously can be a major killjoy. So don’t forget to have some fun with whatever you create! Experiment with different topics and styles, find the right balance. You’ll get much further if you remember to smile and make sure your followers are having fun too.

If your content doesn't land at first - give it some more time. Just because your first few posts don't get the engagement you were hoping for, does not mean it's a lost cause! Being consistent will pay off but it definitely takes time. So keep going!
