This week we want to talk about one question that just about everyone asks... "What time should I be posting?" Our answer might surprise you because it definitely surprised us because it wasn’t even close to what we thought it would be! Recently, Later posted a new blog about how they have analyzed 11 million posts to determine which time was the best.

And what they found was an average of 4 am local time! 🤯🤯🤯 Mind-blowing, right?!

But before we dive into this, let's be clear with one thing, there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to posting times. Ultimately you should be sharing content that your followers will interact with at the right times for them. However, if you're looking for a general rule of thumb, 4am seems to fit the bill.

So why post at 4am?

Well, when you post in the middle of the night your content will remain on top for most of the day. Plus, it's more likely to be seen by people who are up late and scrolling through their feeds. It’s also a time when there’s a lot less competition for attention on Instagram, so your content is more likely to be seen.

Now that you know why 4am is the perfect time to post, let's talk about some ways to make scheduling easy. Firstly, since posting at 4 am local time is not ideal for anyone it makes the most sense to schedule these posts.

And when it comes to scheduling tools, there are only 2 we rely on and recommend.

The first is the Instagram Native Scheduler. Did you know you can fully create your reel and schedule it for anytime directly through Instagram? Head over to this video to see how it’s done. This way is completely free and we haven’t seen a dip in posting while using.

The other scheduler we recommend is Later. With Later’s paid plan, you’ll get access to scheduling along with tons of other helpful features. We’ve used Later off and on for years and it has always been amazing!

Whichever you use, 4am is definitely our top pick when it comes to the best time to post on Instagram, but don't forget that you can always experiment with different times and see what works for you. And if all else fails, scheduling tools can make your life a lot easier!

We hope this helps as you continue on your Consistency Challenge! Keep up the great work and happy posting!
