Pole Grip aids have a wide range of options and variety. From antiperspirants to chalk to liquid powders and even waxes, there is something available for everyone! As polers, we heavily rely on our grip and skin to stick to the pole, so having the proper aids to assist us from slipping and sweating is key. Different climates and seasons can make a world of difference in the grips you use! Check out some of my favorites below!
Dry Hands is one of if not the most popular and well-known pole dancing grip aids available. I do not know who the genius poler was who thought to give this “Golf and baseball Grip” a try but whoever they are…THANK YOU! Although, Dry Hands is not specifically marketed to pole dancers, we love this stuff because it is so effective. A little bit goes a long way with this antiperspirant and a dime sized drop is all you need. When applying, be sure your hands are clean and dry. Squeeze a small amount into your hands, rub your hands together a few times, and allow it to dry on the surface of the palms of your hands. Rubbing it in too much will absorb it into your skin and not be as effective.
Tite Grip is great for polers with more serious perspiration problems and medical conditions like Hyperhidrosis (abnormally excessive sweating that's not necessarily related to heat or exercise.) Tite Grip is a gooey, sticky orange product that can be used without it drying out your skin. It works best if applied 20-30 mins before poling!
Itac works like a charm! This wax like aid is not an antiperspirant and will not help you stop sweating so I wouldn't recommend using it on your hands. I like to call it the knee and elbow pit Godsend! Rub a little bit of this on the back of your knees and you can hang out in leg hangs all day! You can even put it on your chins to help with climbing. ITac works best if put on 20 mins before getting on the pole while you are warming up to allow it to absorb into your skin. I never pole without it!
BLACK OWNED!! Ayyee!! Pole Poised has a line of several products including body balms and bath products but the crowd favorite is the Glit a Grip Body Grip. Have dry skin or find you have a hard time sticking to the pole in the winter because the air is so dry? You need Pole Poised in your pole bag! It is made from all natural products to help combat dryness and add a layer of moisture to help you stick to the pole. And because Black Girls are magic, Mica the founder even added glitter to it to make us glow! No like seriously…I did an outdoor photoshoot with this stuff and I was glowing like golden sunset! It can be applied all over but not recommended for your hands.

Firm Grip is a spray antiperspirant that provides a secure and strong grip for pole. It is more commonly used for Silks and Lyra but has quickly become a must have for polers too! This sticky grip can be used all over and on hands too! You do have to reapply often because this tac seems to wear off fast than others.
There are so many grips to choose from! Some you can mix and match and others you will find to not work at all for your body! Leave a comment below to let us know your favorites!
